Project: Improved Modelling to Assess the Risk of Failure of Distribution pipes

Dates: October 1998-September 2001

The project will investigate the use of mathematical programming and optimisation techniques in the assessment of various elements of technical risk in the water industry.

Candidates should hold at least a 2.1 Honours Degree in Engineering or Science (Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research). A relevant MSc is considered an advantage.

The total tax-free grant is applicable to Home and European students only.
